Lawn Fawn….

Hey everyone,

For today here are three of my cards using my newly acquired Lawn Fawn stamp collection – Bon Voyage and Say Cheese. Something very simple as was busy making cards for my entry in the World Card Making Day. I’ll post those pics sometime soon.

Paper Smooches

Hey everyone,

It does seem like a long time since I posted something new; it’s just that school has started and have hence been busy ever since. Anyways, during the holls I’d placed an order with Paper Smooches – love Kim Hughes fun style. I am particularly partial to the Kangaroo from the Little Lovin stamp set as Australia is almost my second home.

I wanted to come up with something uniquely Australian and so created my own Aboriginal designs as background for the Kangaroo using some Stampin Up! markers and the famous white uni signo gel pen. Whilst it does give the card an ethnic feel, I wanted to add some fun element to it and that’s where Paper Smooches fit the bill.

I’ve uploaded the card onto the Paper Smooches blog as well. Kim Hughes is always encouraging posting cards and projects using her stamps and well… I obliged.

Here’s another angle to show the dimension.

Supplies:

Cardstock : PTI – Vintage Cream and Kraft

Stamps : Paper Smooches – A Little Lovin (Kangaroo), Word Up (Sentiment)

Inks: Tim Holtz distress inks on the Kraft cardstock pieces (2″ x 3″) – Tea Dye and Marmalade, Stampin Up! markers – Early Espresso, Real Red, Night of Navy, Basic Black and Rich Razzleberry and white Uni-signo gel pen, Staz On – Jet Black

Miscellaneous: Foam dimensionals, snail adhesive

Cheers!

Stripes

Hey everyone,

Today I would like to share with you my creation for Embellish Magazine’s – Stripes Color Trends Challenge.

I pulled out all the stock of blue designer paper and ribbons that I had and created a striped pattern to incorporate the theme. Using the Onesie die from Papertrey Ink, I got the outline for the card and then embellished the inside with designer paper and ribbons.

Here’s the attempt..

A close up of the epoxy sticker I made with the letter E to reinforce the challenge đŸ˜‰

A final view of the card.

Supplies:

Cardstock: SU! Night of Navy, Whisper White

Miscellaneous: SU! designer paper and ribbons, White Uni Signo gel pen, glitter brads, epoxy domes and 1″ circle with floral design printed off my computer, foam dimensionals, snail adhesive

Stamp: Petite Pairs – SU!

Ink: SU! – Night of Navy

Cheers!

Boo!

Hey everyone,

I know it’s a long way till Halloween, but with this week’s CASE study challenge, the colours reminded me of the same. So I incorporated the green, cream, kraft and brown and came up with this all too simple concoction…

Cardstock: PTI – Vintage Cream, Simply Chartreuse, Dark Chocolate, Kraft

Ink: Staz On – Black, Versamark

Stamp Set: Hero Arts – Music background stamp, SU! – Batty For You and Wicked Cool (sentiment)

Miscellaneous – Twine – Twinnery, Doily die – PTI, foam dimensionals

Cheers!

Bold and the beautiful

Hey everyone,

My card for today is for two challenges that have a common theme – the colour scheme – red, white and black. While the Play Date Cafe challenge is all about using these colours, it was simple and elegant. CAS-ual Fridays on the other hand insists we be inspired by a book. So the moment I knew the colours to use what jumped out at me is one of my favourite book and I know I am not alone on this one – Twilight.

Yes I was hooked onto the series and am now enjoying the films. The Cullens are all so stylish, Rosalie especially, so keeping her in mind I used my favourite Hero Arts stamp set – High Heels and created this card.

The roses…

Supplies:

Cardstock: SU! Whisper White, PTI – Pure Poppy and True Black

Inks: Staz On – Jet Black

Ribbon: PTI – Pure Poppy saddle stitch

Brads – SU!

Stamp Set: Hero Arts – High Heels, SU! – Afterthoughts (sentiment)

Black embossing powder, foam dimensionals

Cheers!
