Lilypad Challenge….

Hey everyone,

This is my entry for the Lilypad Challenge – Flower. Hence my card for today is floral themed in keeping with the challenge deets.

I used the Hero Arts Large Flower Background stamp and embossed it on Kraft cardstock with white embossing powder, then using SU! markers and an aqua painter, I coloured in the background. The piece was then mounted onto PTI’s Simply Chartreuse cardstock and added to the base card with foam dimensionals. The white signo gel pen finished off the card by complimenting the white embossing. Sentiment is from SU! cling mount – Father’s Day.

Here’s a close up of the embossed image…

Spring crafts…

Hey everyone,

Everywhere one surfs the net of late, one comes across vibrant colours and spring themed crafts so thought of joining the bandwagon. For today, I’ve created these cute little favor bags that can be customized to suit the occasion. I’ve used very spring accessories – flowers, birds and butterflies. The bag is from the Sizzix bag with scallops die. The cardstock is from PTI – Simply Chartreuse, Kraft and Sweet Blush. The butterflies and flowers are from the Hero Arts stamps and die sets – Antique Flowers and Butterflies and Floral. The bird stamp and punch is from SU!

If you liked the ribbon which I love! I bought it from this amazing seller/friend on Etsy – LuckyLadyPaperCrafts. She has some gorgeous ribbon candy among other great craft stuff. Do check her out. The photograph doesn’t do it justice.

Here are the bags…

Inspired By…

Hey everyone,

I’m loving the super simple card techniques and hence dived into the latest Lawnscaping Challenge. The theme is to create a card after being inspired by a creation of another crafter or a random pic on the net or the now famous Pinterest.

So for my card, I was inspired by Laurel Beard and this simple yet classy card of hers….

I pulled out my newest Lawn Fawn stamps to create this card… I reeeeeally want to pick this comb thingy for myself with which to display my cards. Does anyone know what it’s called and where I could pick one up for myself?

Cheers!

Lilypad challenge….

Hey everyone,

My post for today is card that I plan to enter in the Lilypad Challenge.

For the lilypad challenge here is the inspiration pic…

For my card I used the camera from Amy Tangerine’s Love Struck stamp set and the film strip die is from My Favourite Things, the Doily die is from PTI. I coloured in the camera using copics. The sentiment is from PTI as well.

Cas-ual Fridays Challenge…

Hey everyone,

I know in my previous post I said I’d take a week long crafting sabbatical after my scrapbook layout overload, but couldn’t resist the clean and simple challenge thrown by the folks at Cas-ual Fridays. 😉 Since the theme is clean and simple with three conditions to be met:

– A pattern

– A sentiment

– An image

I was only too happy to oblige and came up with this card using the new Paper Smooches Stamp Set – Smarty Pants and the sentiment from Word Salad. The pattern paper for the background is from the 6 x 6 paper pack by Kaisercraft – Class of ’87. I stamped the pencil again on a separate piece of neenah white cardstock and coloured it with copics.

As you can see I kept it really simple…

Cheers!

Scrapbook Layouts…

Hey everyone,

A heads up for you..this is going to be a looooooong post as I have 14 scrapbook layout pics to share with you. My nephew’s turning one at the end of this month, so I decided to make 12 scrapbook layouts for him to celebrate his 12 months. I have to get these layouts to the post office latest by tomorrow for them to reach him by Friday. So worked my fingers off this weekend. Quite a feat might I add; I started out on Thursday evening and completed the final one a couple of hours ago – so 12 layouts in 2 1/2 days! I guess then it’s fair to say I won’t be crafting for at least a week or so. Am super exhausted but happy with the results. I figured my brother and sis-in-law could either leave them as they are or frame them for his room.

For my supplies I used Echo Park’s Little Boy collection kit, Lawn Fawn – Bright Side Collection kit and Alpha stamps, Papersmooches Stamp set, SU! Brights Collection DSP, brads as well as markers and stamp sets, PTI cardstock, Cricut cartridge – Plantin Schoolbook for the alphas and New Arrival for the ducks, loads of round and scallop punches, Patterned Paper from the few 6 x 6 paper packs I had in stock, Hero Arts stamps, sticky strip, tombo mono-multi glue, foam dimensionals, copic markers, twine from the Twinnery, Corner Chomper and of course my fave white uni signo gel pen.

Here we go…I’m listing them in the order I made them…
