Hey everyone,

It’s been awhile…loads happening at school… For our recent Environment Day seminar, I made these tags/bookmarks as mementos for the keynote speakers. I kept to the “green” and “nature” theme.

I used the Tim Holtz tags with distress inks and glitter. The stamps and bird are from Stampin Up! At the bottom is some lace that I coloured green using Forest Moss distress ink.

Hey everyone,

It was one of those days when nothing seemed to be going right – crafting that is. Finally I pulled out my SU! punches and PTI dies and that helped quite a bit. The liquid pearls added that extra punch to the cards.

I decided to make some more mini cards using the punches and dies, all keeping with the holiday theme. I used PTI’s Vintage Cream cardstock as the base for all three and used three different coloured cardstock – red, green and blue to compliment the images on the cards.

Up first is the blue snowflake card. I die cut the snowflake using the PTI doily details trio set die. Accentuated the overall look with liquid pearls.

For the second card, I used the SU! 2 step bird punch and the SU! holly wheel stamp. For the berries I added red liquid pearls.

My third card has the SU! Pennant punch along with the brights collection patterned paper and created these cute little Christmas trees. I accentuated the trees and snowy background with liquid pearls and SU! Swiss dots embossing folder.

HCBC – Wreath card

Hey everyone,

I’m thoroughly enjoying the Holiday Card Boot Camp and am inspired at the same time. Since today’s card was a combination of a window and suspension card, I was inspired to create a card with my own twist to it.

Pulling out my favorite PTI Holly leaves die, I created a wreath for the door card. I embossed the PTI Dark Chocolate cardstock with Hero Arts woodgrain stamp and clear embossing powder to give it the effect of a door. I added a Closetomyheart holiday brad for the door knob and the sentiment is from PTI’s Tree Trimmings stamp set.

For the inside of the card I stamped the Hero Arts Music notes background in Hero Arts ink and then using the PTI holiday words die – die cut the word Merry, cut them apart, inked them up with Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink and mounted them with foam dimensionals.

A final touch were the berries which I added using liquid pearls.

Pretty Poinsettia

Hey everyone,

My second post of the day..a poinsettia card. I know I am not alone when I say these are my most favourite flowers.

For this card I used the poinsettia cling stamp from Penny Black. I embossed it with Ranger white embossing powder and then using Tim Holtz distress inks – Barn Door and Fire Brick coloured the poinsettia. Added liquid pearls to the centers.

Holiday Card Boot Camp

Hey everyone,

I’m super excited to participate in my first ever Holiday Card Boot Camp co-hosted by Kristina Werner and Jennifer Mcguire along with loads of craft celebrities sharing their holiday ideas.

So keeping the HCBC in mind, I’ve created a few cards – mini ones really. I’ve tried new to me and different techniques for each of them. The common thread running through all the cards is the embossing. I’ve had a lot of fun using Tim Holtz distress inks and liquid pearls. They truly bring the project to life.

Here goes…

This first has Lawn Fawn snowflakes embossed with Ranger white embossing powder. The snowflake punch is from SU! The blue background is the happy marriage between Tim Holtz’s distress inks – Tumbled Glass and Broken China. I dry embossed the vellum cardstock with the swiss dots embossing folder and added opal white liquid pearls to the centers of the snowflakes.

The second one …very “krafty”… The dasher stamp is from SU! whilst the sentiment is from PTI – Tree with Trimmings.

The final one using Lawn Fawn stamps and Tim Holtz distress inks for the ornaments, accentuated with Ranger liquid pearls.

A final shot of all three…

Papertrey Ink…Wine Bottle tags

Hey everyone,

Am not done yet…well…maybe I am..this is my third and final post for the day. 🙂

My newly acquired PTI haul included the newly release bottle tag dies and a few other holiday dies. So once again inspired by Maile Belle, I created these Christmassy wine bottle tags. Whilst most of the layout is cased, I did tweak it here and there to accommodate the stamp sets and dies I didn’t have. I made do with the ones I have and am quite happy with the outcome.

I seriously need to work on my photography though; have an awesome Canon camera and am still figuring how to make the best use of it.

Anyways, for now this will have to do….

Papertrey ink…Christmas ornaments…

Hey everyone,

My second post for the day. Icased this idea from Erin Lincoln’s blog and loved it! So I went ahead and created a similar tag and one slightly different.

Bear with me as there are loads of pics; I wasn’t satisfied with just a few!

All the supplies used for these tags are from Papertrey Ink – cardstock, stamp set and die – Love Lives Here Holiday, Holly leaves die and Tag Sale # 4.
