PERSONALIZED STATIONERY

Hey everyone,

From the time I can recall I have loved personalized stationery and have treated myself to a variety of styles and designs. Once I discovered the versatility of stamps and dies, I attempted to create my own stationery – mostly notecards and bookplates being my favourites.

For today I have tried to recreate something similar with my stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink. For the background I used the build-a-border stamp from the Rosie Posie stamp set and die cut the alphas from their lowercase aplha dies. With my 1 3/4″ circle punch I punched out different coloured cardstock and then finished off with a stitched border using my white gel pen. Mounted the circles on foam adhesive and voila…

FLORAL FLOURISH CASED…

Hey everyone,

A couple of days ago I saw Jennifer Mcguire’s card where she incorporated a new technique – diecut and stamping the image onto the card. I have cased that today with my own twist and the stamps and dies I have.

Instead of stamping the flower image, I diecut the card and then mounted the diecuts onto the negative space. For my flowers I used Papertrey Ink’s Notched Flowers Die and the leaves were from a set of Shapeabilities Foliage Leaves set by Spellbinders. The flowers were diecut from designer paper I had in my stash while the leaves were diecut from Papertrey Ink’s cardstock in Simply Chartreuse. I used the white signo gel pen and my green copic for some added dimension.

The background was stamped with the border stamp from the Bonjour set by Avery Elle in Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Soft Sand. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps – Faith collection and stamped with Stampin Up‘s Soft Suede ink. I finished off with a cute polka dotted button in sunshine yellow.

Cutesies and warning…PHOTO HEAVY POST!!!

Hey everyone,

It was around this time last year that I started my mini business venture – Diva Paperie – selling personalized stationery. I designed and created mostly calling cards, gift tags, mommy cards and bookplates for kids. Am sharing some of those with you…mind you…this is a lengthy pics post!

FUN-N-FLORALS

Hey everyone,

Have two cards for you today..one using Hero Arts and Basic Grey stamps and My Favorite Things Die-namics along with some stickers I had in my stash. I had some black embossed cardstock so used that as a background for my first card.

With Hero Arts and Basic Grey – Pattern Hearts and Flowers stamp set, I used three different shades of pink cardstock for the flowers to create some dimension. The leaves too were stamped on green patterned paper and the cut out and mounted onto the main image. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Here’s a close-up of the dimension on the flowers…

For this second card which was super simple and quick, I used border stickers from my stash and stuck them on the inside of the card. I then used the MFT Die-namics- Boy Meets Girl border die and die cut the front of the card so as to make the inside visible through the die cuts. I used a circle sticker from the same set to create a sun look and finished off the card with the same sentiment from the Hero Arts stamp set.

TAG IT!

Hey everyone,

It’s been a while since I last broke out my Papersmooches stamps. This awesome company has come a long way and have now introduced cardstock, ribbons and even coordinating dies in their collection.

For today I have created little manila tags using the Falling for You stamp set. I coloured in the images with copics and accentuated them with the white uni signo gel pen. As for the sentiments, they’re from the same stamp set, just strategically cut apart and placed accordingly…yes you read correctly – cut..apart!! Honestly, no big deal… as with all polymer stamps, you can reposition them as they were originally laid out and stamp as normal.

Happy Summer

Hey everyone,

Au contraire…it’s winter here down under however, a crafty way to keep warm is to play with some summer stamps. Lawn Fawn is cuteness personified and this mini stamp set – Happy Summer is no exception.

I’ve kept the card simple with just some foam adhesive for dimension. I coloured in the watermelon slices with my copics and the rest of the images and sentiment were stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink. Love the little ants…

HIS n HERS

Hey everyone,

Well actually…Hers n His is what is shown in my card… I’ve created a super simple card today with just cardstock and twine from the Twinnery. The idea was to create two beach towels. The blue and pink cardstock is from Stampin Up! in Pool Party and Pink Pirouette. The sentiment is from the Bonjour stamp set by Avery Elle. The cute heart brads are also from SU! which I had in my stash. The card base is with my fave cardstock – kraft from Papertrey Ink. Finally, used my uni-signo white gel pen for the design on the blue towel and the white hearts around the sentiment.
