It’s finally spring!! And with it comes new life and new beginnings…. My family’s been blessed with a bundle of joy – a little baby boy – my nephew Ethan.
Naturally, I was totally inspired to create something cute and cuddly. I have been playing around with the idea of using my ever growing collection of punches and dies to create something unique other than just as an accent on a card. Surfed the net and was inspired by many, but amongst the few I saw, Andrea Walford‘s work really stood out. So I cased some of her ideas and gave it my own twist to tie in with our little bundle of joy. I wanted to bring in a little family humour here – my brother simply detests green peas and somehow I felt little green peas gel so well with babies…and so voila!
And another angle.
Punch art is quite a trend in paper crafting so the net was loaded with projects and amazing ideas. I experimented with four varieties in keeping with the theme of Spring and cuteness and created these critters which were cased from some talented crafters on the net. Enjoy…
Up first is a little Bumble Bee. All of the punches I used were from SU!
A watermelon critter.
A Gerbera Daisy critter.
Here’s pic of all of them.
Stay tuned for more baby stuff…can’t get enough of Ethan!!!!
